Asley Quickle: to answer one question about running a different video card the answer is yes,,,you have a PCIe slot so any PCIe card can be used....gtx260,radeon 4850 etc.....the green lines you see means the card is artifacting because the clock speeds are to high....after you raise them you must stress test it to make sure it is stable....I use ATITOOL for that...simple to run, just click on scan for artifacts and let run 15 minutes...if no errors or artifacts your good...keep repeating till it artifacts then drop all clocks down 10-15mhz....run for 1 hour now....if no artifacts or errors its 100% stable....overclocking your gpu wont damage any of your other hardware or the card its self really because its still running at the factory set voltage....the main thing to watch is heat though....that will damage hardware so make sure to monitor your temps....must have good positive airflow through the case and the temps should be fine....ATITOOL---------http://www.techspot.co! m/downloads/3294-atitool.htm...Scott...Show more
Pearlie Medora: DO NOT use furmark. Furmark ruins video cards all the time. It makes cards run hotter than they ever would otherwise. I would just benchmark your card by playing games with it. And to answer your first question, no, overclocking your card should not hurt anything else.
