Branden Roddick: If you trailer your boat, you don't have to have insurance if its not financed. But it would be a good idea to have it.
Porfirio Cahall: In America normally the marina will require you to have insurance to protect them and other slip holders, and if you have the boat financed, the finance company will require you to maintain insurance to protect their investment. In my area (South Alabama) a "wet" slip for a boat up to 60' starts at $450.00 U.S. monthly, they provide water, cable t/v, wireless internet but you have to pay for the electricity.
