Sook Hershkowitz: The logging companies built the original rail line. The town of Cass and portions of the rail system and equipment were brought into the WV State Park system in the early 1960s. The WV Dept. of Natural Resources operates and maintains what is now known as the Cass Scenic Railroad State Park.Glad you enjoyed your visit.
