Francisco Schonhardt: The Canon HV30 would be my choice for MiniDV.It shoots in HiDef as well as StandardDef and has the 24P mode for that Hollywood cinema look. It will al! so record in 30P HiDef for projects with alot of movement/action to get rid of most blur that 24P can have.It also shoots in standard def 60i for home movie quality.
